What we do

New Birder is a business financing referral service. We help established US businesses compare funding options. We are not a bank, not a lender and not a depository institution. We do not take deposits, issue loans or make credit decisions, and we do not charge you a fee.

What we do with your application

When you apply for funding through us we sell it to funding partners so they can contact you about financing. In plain terms: we sell the application and contact information you give us, including your name, business name, contact details and the financial information in the form, to the funding partners in our network, and we are paid for doing so — whether or not you are ultimately funded. By submitting the form you are directing us to make those transfers so that you can be given information about financial products.

We may send a single application to up to 5 funding partners.

We publish the current roster of funding partners on request. Ask us using the contact route below and we will send you the list of partners your application may be sent to.

The roster changes, and the published list lags. We add and remove partners from time to time and update this page when we do, but a change may take up to 30 days to appear here. During that period your information may go to a partner not yet named, or a partner we have told you about may no longer be in our network.

A partner may contact you under a name you do not recognise. Funding partners operate under trade names, brands and "doing business as" names that differ from the names we give you, and they change them. Your consent covers contact made under any such name by a partner we sent your application to.

Those partners decide whether to offer you funding, and on what terms. We are paid by the funding partner, not by you. Because partners pay different amounts, our interests are not necessarily the same as yours: the identity and order of the partners you hear from may reflect what they pay us. We are not your agent, adviser or broker-of-record, we owe you no fiduciary duty, and we do not recommend any partner or product as suitable for you. Evaluate every offer you receive — its total cost, fees, payment frequency and term — before you accept it.

Once a partner has your information, that partner's own privacy policy and terms govern what it does with it, and its communications with you are its responsibility rather than ours.

Contact permission

If you tick the consent box, you agree that New Birder, the funding partners we send your application to, and anyone contacting you for or on behalf of them or us, may call, text and email you at the number and address you provide, to discuss business funding and related products — including by automatic telephone dialing system, prerecorded or artificial voice, and SMS/MMS.

This applies even if the number you give is on any internal, corporate, state, federal or national Do Not Call registry, and it extends to each partner's affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, employees, service providers, subcontractors and marketing partners acting on its behalf.

Consent is not a condition of applying, of any purchase, or of obtaining funding.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help.

Revoking consent. You may revoke this consent at any time, simply by telling us — by any reasonable means that clearly expresses that you do not want further calls or messages. Replying STOP, QUIT, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE or END to a text will revoke it, and so will telling us so reply to any message you have received from us. We do not require you to use any one method. We will honour a revocation within 10 business days of receiving it, and will pass it on to the funding partners we sent your application to. Revoking with us does not by itself revoke consent you gave directly to a partner — you may need to contact that partner as well.

You confirm that you are the subscriber or the usual user of the number you give us, and that you are allowed to consent to calls and messages at it. Numbers get reassigned: if the number stops being yours, tell us promptly — reply to any message you have received from us. Until you do, calls and messages placed to it in reliance on this consent remain authorised by you.

You also authorise us, the partners we refer you to, and their agents and service providers, to do the research needed to verify your application and the information in it, and to contact you about that research.

Your privacy choices

If you are a California resident, you have the right to tell us not to sell or share your personal information. You can exercise that right — and ask us what information we hold, or ask us to delete it — by contacting us: reply to any message you have received from us. We will not treat you differently for exercising it. We also honour the Global Privacy Control browser signal as a request not to sell or share.

Electronic records

You agree to receive the records, disclosures and notices relating to your application electronically — on this site, by email, or by text — rather than on paper, and that submitting the form is your electronic signature under the federal E-SIGN Act and comparable state law. You can withdraw that agreement, or ask for a paper copy at no charge — to do either, reply to any message you have received from us. Withdrawing does not affect records already provided and may mean we can no longer process your application.

No guarantee

Nothing here is an offer of credit or a promise of funding. Amounts, rates, terms and timing are set by the funding provider and depend on your business's qualifications. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval or any particular amount, rate or term.

Accuracy

Please give accurate information. Providers rely on it, and an application that misstates revenue or time in business wastes your time and theirs. Do not submit false, misleading or fraudulent information.
